Memory Verse

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of the Christ, for it is the inherent ability of God unto salvation to all who believe, both Jew and Gentile. For God’s righteousness is revealed in it, out from faith into faith, just at it stands written, “The just will live out from faith.” (Romans 1:16–17).

The Gentiles did not have a faith, for God had not give them a promise (Acts 14:16). The Jews, however, were given a promise by God and thus possessed a faith. God justifies both of them through the gospel of the Christ—the Jews out from faith and the Gentiles through faith (Romans 3:30). This good news—that Christ died on behalf of our sins and was resurrected from the dead three days later—possesses an inherent ability to save. This is why Satan blinds the conclusions of the minds of those who are perishing, for once message enters the mind, it produces faith, which saves (2 Corinthians 4:4). Those who had a faith now partake in a better covenant, built upon better promises. We who had no faith now have a faith in the resurrected Lord, and we too partake in the same new covenant.
