Sharing in Common in the Body of The Christ and in the Blood of Christ

Proclaiming the Death of Our Lord.

“For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.” – 1 Corinthians 11:26.

Partaking in a Worthy Manner.

“Whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.” – 1 Corinthians 11:27-29.

The Body of The Christ.

“The bread which we break, is it not the fellowship of the body of the Christ?” – 1 Corinthians 10:16.

A New Creation.

“So that since someone is in Christ, a new creation, the archaic things have passed away, behold, all things have become new.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17.

We Are a Part of One Body.

“For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is the Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 12:12.

Equality Within the Body.

“For by one Spirit we were all immersed into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.” – 1 Corinthians 12:13.

Partaking of the Bread.

“For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, ‘Take, eat; this is My body which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’” – 1 Corinthians 11:23-24.

The Blood of Christ.

“The cup of eulogy which we speak well of, is it not the fellowship of the blood of Christ?” – 1 Corinthians 10:16.

Under a New Covenant Based Upon Better Promises.

“But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.” – Hebrews 8:6.

Partaking of the Cup.

“In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant by My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.’” – 1 Corinthians 11:25.
