Memory Verse

And we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit out from God in order that we may know the things from God, graciously given to us, 1 Corinthians 2:12.

Lucifer is the author of the world system (Ephesians 2:2). This system is designed to be fond of its own and indifferent to grace believers (John 15:19). The spirit of this world teaches the elemental principles of the world, which bring a person into bondage (Galatians 4:3). This spirit causes those who follow its ways to wander from the truth, nor can those who follow it understand the truth (1 John 4:6).

We have been graciously given the Spirit that is out from God, through whom we cry Abba, Father (Romans 8:15). There is freedom where the Spirit of God is: a freedom to live out righteousness (2 Corinthians 3:17).

The things that God has prepared for those who love Him are now revealed to us by the Holy Spirit. These are the things that eyes has not seen, nor ear heard, not even entered into the heart of man (1 Corinthians 2:9). We are legitimate children of God: washed and regenerated by the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:4; 1 John 3:9). We are in Christ and Christ is in us (Colossians 1:27; Galatians 2:20). We have been taking out of Adam, where we resided in condemnation, and placed into the Christ—the new creation God made in which Christ is the head and the Church is the body (1 Corinthians 12:12–13; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 1:22–23). We are priests who offer spiritual sacrifices to God (1 Peter 2:9).

Because we have received the Spirit out from God, we are now able to understand even the deep things of God. Therefore, let us set our minds on things above and live out the life we now have in Christ, a life of righteousness and liberty as we continually do the desirous will of God in every aspect of our lives.
