Memory Verse

Then what? Should we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never come to be! Do you not intuitively know that to whom you present yourselves slaves unto obedience, a slave you are to the one you obey—whether sin unto death, or obedience unto righteousness? (Romans 6:15–16)

Grace is not given so that we may continue in sin. Rather, it is through grace that we have access by faith into the standing in which we now remain, enabling us to walk in newness of life. Those who live according to the flesh are about to die; but if, by the Spirit, we put to death the works of the flesh, we will live (Romans 8:13). Therefore, let us live out the righteousness we have in Christ—not based on our works, but upon the grace of God—so that we may live a life separated from sin as we walk in the newness of life we have in Christ.
