Memory Verse

But now the God has set the member, each one of them, in the body just as He desirously willed (1 Corinthians 12:18)

God’s desirous will abides into the age, for it does not change based upon culture, the wants of men, social trends, religious superstitions, or anything else made by man or spirit being. Therefore, as those belonging to Christ, we are to know and do God’s desirous will in every aspect of our lives.

When we are placed into the body of the Christ—the new creation in which Christ is the head and the Church is His body—we are given a single spiritual gift for the edification of the body (1 Peter 4:10). This is a unique ability, distinct from our natural talents, that inherently flows from a saint when he is loving other saints. Therefore, it is important for the Christian life that we are fellowshipping with other saints throughout the week, not just on Sunday.

The active Spiritual gifts today are: Serving, teaching, exhortation, giving, administration, mercy, faith, pastor even teacher, and evangelist (Romans 12:7–8; 1 Corinthians 12:9; Ephesians 4:11).

Since these gifts naturally manifest themselves among other saints, by sharing our lives we will use the gift that God has given us for the edification of our local assembly.
