The Acts of the Apostles recounts several miraculous events and the bold proclamation of the Gospel by Peter and John. A lame man is healed at the temple gate called Beautiful, drawing great amazement from the people. Peter uses the opportunity to preach about Jesus Christ’s resurrection and calls the people to repentance.

As a result of their preaching, Peter and John are imprisoned by the religious leaders but continue to testify before them with great boldness. The authorities warn them to stop preaching in Jesus’ name, but they refuse, declaring their obedience to God above men. The believers pray for courage, and God responds by filling them with the Holy Spirit, enabling them to speak with boldness.

The early church demonstrates unity by sharing possessions and ensuring no one lacks necessities. However, the case of Ananias and Sapphira illustrates the seriousness of deceit before God, as both fall dead after lying about their offerings.

Despite opposition, the apostles continue to perform signs and wonders, heal the sick, and preach the resurrection of Christ with unwavering faith.
