Satan’s sons proclaim another Jesus, receiving of a different spirit, and present a different gospel (2 Corinthians 11:4). The sons of Satan among the saints are discerned by their birth and works; otherwise, they fully mimic a son of the light in appearance (Matthew 13:24-26; 37-39). Satan’s ministers of this age teach imitation. However, true Christlikeness is a manifestation of the eternal life a saint has in Christ that displays itself in a righteous lifestyle, not through mimicking or imitation (2 Corinthians 3:18; Galatians 2:20). Only the unbelievers belong to this present evil age because those in Christ have been delivered from it (Galatians 1:4). When a Christian attempts to conform to the legal age, he is not able to approve or manifest the desirous will of God (Romans 12:1-2).

Godliness is great gain with contentment, not a means of financial gain (1 Timothy 6:6). We are to be content having food and clothing (1 Timothy 6:8). Those who determine to be rich will fall into temptations and snares (1 Timothy 6:9). Our conduct is to be without covetousness, being content with what we have (Hebrews 13:5).
